Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

  • 1 cup chopped husked tomatillos

  • 1 cup diced peeled kiwis

  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions

  • 3 tablespoons lime juice

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro (or to taste)

  •  1 to 2 teaspoons minced jalapeño

  • 1/8 teaspoons salt

  • 1/8 teaspoons black pepper

Directions

  1. Stir together tomatillos, kiwi, green onions, lime juice, cilantro, jalapeño, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Serve immediately or chill, covered, up to 2 hours.

Cook’s Note:

Fruit salsa is best if served within 2 hours because the fruit waters out and thins the salsa. If you are making this ahead, wait to add the salt until just before serving.
