  • 1/2 onion , sliced 5mm/0.2" thick
  • 2 garlic cloves , finely chopped
  • 200g/ 7 oz mushrooms , sliced 5mm/0.2β€³ thick
  • 3 1/2 tbsp flour (plain / all-purpose)
  • 2 cups beef stock / broth , low sodium
  • 1/4 tsp cooking salt / kosher salt (halve for table salt)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
