Rush Hour Refried Beans Recipe
Rush Hour Refried Beans solve the problem of loving refried beans but not having time to work with dried beans by using convenient canned beans for quick preparation. This practical approach demonstrates how convenience products can create authentic results while accommodating busy schedules that demand efficient cooking methods. The rush hour designation reflects time-saving benefits while maintaining the flavors that make refried beans essential Mexican accompaniments.

I love refried beans but don’t always have the time to work with dried beans. This recipe uses canned beans and still tastes like I spent all day on it. Sometimes, I crumble bacon on top of the finished product.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons bacon grease
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, undrained
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
Directions
Heat bacon grease in a skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir onion and garlic in hot bacon grease until onion is softened, 5 to 7 minutes.
Mash pinto beans and cumin into onion mixture using a potato masher until desired consistency is reached. Cook and stir bean mixture until heated through, 3 to 5 minutes.
