This is a sweet citrus take on guacamole, but you can use any fruit or vegetables, snipped fresh herbs, crumbled cheese, and spicy pepper or onion you like. Two variations are listed below. Serve with tortilla chips, plantain chips, or cut fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings

  • 2 medium avocados – halved, pitted, and peeled

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

  • ¼ cup chopped orange

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro

  • ¼ cup crumbled cotija cheese

  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped jalapeno

  • ½ teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Mash together avocados and lime juice in a bowl. Stir in orange, cilantro, cotija cheese, jalapeno, and salt.

Variations:

For Mediterranean Guacamole, use pomegranate seeds, parsley, feta cheese, and red onion.

For Cheesy Corn Guacamole, use roasted corn, green onion, goat cheese, and serrano pepper.
