This pineapple salsa made with fresh juicy pineapple, jalapeño, red onion, and lime juice is sweet, spicy, and easy to make in 15 minutes. It makes a delicious summer party appetizer with chips or topping for grilled fish or chicken!

Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings

  • 1 cup finely chopped fresh pineapple

  • ¼ cup finely chopped red onion

  • ¼ cup red bell pepper, chopped

  • 1 jalapeño   pepper, seeded and minced

  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh cilantro

  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

  • 1 clove garlic, minced (Optional)

  • ½ teaspoon white sugar

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  1. Gather all ingredients.

  2. Mix pineapple, red onion, bell pepper, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, sugar, and salt together in a bowl until combined.

Cook’s Note

You can serve this salsa straight away, but I prefer to refrigerate it until chilled so the flavors can blend.
