I actually really feel like Chorizo is likely one of the most underused secret substances round. Sausage – been there, carried out that. Chorizo has extra flavour and higher color. Throw it on a baking tray with some veggies and bake it – bang, immediate dinner that’s virtually self saucing. Throw it into frittatas, salads, soups. Chorizo is just like the Different Bacon – it simply makes all the pieces higher.

Chorizo might be not the primary ingredient you consider if you’re planning celebration meals, however I’d urge you to maintain it entrance of thoughts. Slightly goes a great distance, and it requires little prep. Even should you simply sliced it up and cooked it, like I do once I make my Simple Spanish Tapas unfold, it’s nonetheless a complete and utter crowd pleaser.

For this model, I made a decision to up the ante a bit. Simply to make additional certain that you just’ll be the largest food-hit on the celebration you’re taking this to. So I created a sauce to go along with the chorizo. It’s candy and spicy and it’s SO GOOD your visitors will probably be mopping up the sauce with bread lengthy after the chorizo is gone.

This recipe is a latest creation. I’m growing my arsenal of make forward celebration meals. Dips are tried and examined favorites, however typically I wish to do one thing completely different. For me, a key think about selecting celebration meals – whether or not I’m internet hosting at my place or going someplace – is whether or not it may be made forward, how nicely it reheats and the way nicely it transports.

This ticks all these packing containers. Though finest served heat, it’s nonetheless actually tasty at room temperature. It simply takes a minute or two for reheating within the microwave, then doesn’t required any meeting, simply pour it in a dish. It may be made a few days forward, it’s quick to make and transports simply in a plastic container.
