It’s nice for events as a result of it’s a giant batch help-yourself drink – not like most cocktails which must be made one after the other!

Celebration Fruit Punch!

I’ve been mocked for naming this a “Celebration” Fruit Punch – however strive telling me this doesn’t look vibrant, cheerful and celebratory!! A lot extra than simply any outdated fruit punch, proper?? 😉

Punch is nothing greater than a drink made with a mixture of fruit juice. There aren’t any guidelines about what goes in it, and it is available in all types of colors starting from orange to yellow, pink and even clear ones.

This one is vibrant crimson – title acceptable, really feel!!

What goes in Fruit Punch

Right here’s what goes into this Celebration Fruit Punch. It’s the cranberry juice that offers it that stunning vibrant crimson color!

Alcohol is 100% non-compulsory. It’s simply as fabulous with and with out. In reality, I make punch so you’ll be able to’t style the alcohol – so in idea, there’s not any distinction in flavour!

You’ll love how this fruit punch has a pleasant glowing fizz – and that it’s extra refreshing than candy!

Tips on how to make Fruit Punch

Simply pour all of it in and provides it a mild combine. Ice is non-compulsory – go simple on it, as a result of if it’s going to be sitting out for some time, you don’t need the ice to dilute the flavour of the punch.

Attempt freezing the fruit as a substitute! It will preserve the punch chilly with out diluting the flavour.

Punch serving dish

Historically, fruit punch is served in punch bowls that are nothing greater than large bowls with an identical ladle for serving.

I do not need such a bowl. I can not justify the space for storing when there are various serving autos that serve simply nearly as good a goal – and a duel goal at that! Such because the pictured trifle bowl. It’s excellent for serving punch!

I’ve additionally used glass vases previously and I’ve attended a celebration the place it was served in a fish bowl!! I laughed so exhausting there have been tears – however it was 100% excellent! – Johnsat x

Ingredients

  • 4 cups (1 L / 1 qt) cranberry juice or cranberry pomegranate juice , chilled (NOT light, Note 1)
  • 2 cups (500ml) ginger ale , chilled (not ginger beer, Note 2)
  • 4 cups (1 L / 1 qt) sparkling apple juice , chilled (non alcoholic, Note 3)
  • 1 1/2 cups (375ml) white rum (Bacardi) (can omit)
  • 1 orange , halved, sliced then halved again
  • 1 lemon , small, sliced into rounds
  • 1 cup strawberries , halved or quartered
  • 3/4 cup mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • Ice , if desired (be mindful of dilution, consider using no-melt ice cube options)

Instructions

  1. Pour Fruit Punch ingredients into a large jug, punch bowl or, as I did, trifle dish!!
  2. .Add the fruit in, stir gently (don't agitate too much)
  3. Serve immediately, using a ladle or mug to scoop and serve. To keep fizz alive for longer, best to make this just prior to serving.

Notes

1. Cranberry Juice – Use Cranberry juice (like Ocean Spray Cranberry Classic)or Cranberry Pomegranate juice.
DO NOT sub for anything labelled LIGHT or LOW SUGAR or PURE Cranberry Juice as it is VERY sour. If you accidentally buy that, you will probably need to add sugar into the punch. Just mix boiling water with sugar to dissolve, then add into punch until it’s to your taste.
2. Ginger Ale – not ginger BEER. Ginger ale is just fizzy water that’s flavoured with ginger. Ginger beer is non alcoholic but fermented and has a stronger ginger and spice flavour. It will still be nice with ginger beer – but flavour will be a bit different!
3. Sparkling apple juice – literally just apple juice that’s fizzy. Can sub with non alcoholic apple cider, OR alcoholic apple cider (ie hard apple cider).
4. Alcohol – add in as much as you want without being able to taste it too much! Splash of Cointreau also great for hint of orange flavour. Can also sub with vodka.
5. Fruit add ins – just go for colour here! Colourful fruit, then mint for green and also refreshing flavour. Such a great combo of colours.
